Blue Earth Institution is an international Danish Non-Profit Organization, established to discover, educate and preserve the endangered species around the lakes in Tanzania, Malawi and Mozambique, to breed and disseminate sustainable fish and knowledge to our members and customers, and at the same time create jobs to the locals.
Blue Earth Institution will establish fishing stations in strategically selected areas, where activity and training facilities will be attached to outside members as well as the local population.
These facilities will be built with environmentally friendly materials (compressed clay stones, etc.) and powered by bio-fuel, biogas and renewable energy sources.

We need volunteer architects, engineers and craftsmen who will help design and plan our facilities, and not least, some who will help with the construction.
We build with The Eco-friendly Building Material with Interlocking Stabilized Soil Blocks (ISSB) and we plant a Jatropha curcas hedge around our grounds, it offers some very special benefits, e.g. it keeps both wild and domestic animals away, (yes, even elephants and snakes disappear as the leaves are poisonous). The Jatropha curcas hedge provides a fruit where the kernels can be pressed for pure bio-fuel and the rest can be used for biogas and then for fertilizer.
Members who donate at least DKK 5,000 to materials for the construction and offer to participate in the physical work of building the facilities during their holiday periods are very welcome. They we initially stay in secure tent camps and are welcome to bring their family. Minimum stay is 7 days. Working hours per day is a minimum of 4 hours.
Note: All travel costs, insurance and accommodation as well as consumption are at your own expense.
